In yet another lights-out performance, Haverford dominated the Hun School 15-8 to win the Inter-Ac Challenge on Monday night.

The Fords entered PPL Park with a 24-0 record, earning the top-spot in the DigitalSports National Lacrosse Rankings.  The Hun School, New Jersey’s top-team, ranked 21st in the nation going into the contest.

The game was kept close in the first quarter as the two teams tested each others’ defenses.  Haverford came out with a 2-1 lead, which they turned into an 8-5 advantage by the halftime break.

In the third quarter, both teams netted two each to send the game into the final quarter at 10-7.  The Fords were flawless in the final quarter, hitting the back of the neck five times and only allowing one Raider goal.

Phil Poquie led the Fords with four goals.  Dox Aitken and Drew Supinski each added on three more scores.  Forry Smith struck mesh twice.

With only one game left, Haverford is well en route to an undefeated season.  Culver Academy is the last remaining challenger, and certainly will not make it easy.  The Eagles, ranked 22nd in the nation, with a 16-5 record, travel to Haverford on Friday, May 22.
